How far credits go
A credit is about one cent of AI usage. How many a request takes depends on how much work it is: how many layers it reads, how many changes it makes, and how many frames it checks.
These are measured ranges from real projects; yours will vary with the comp and the request. Your panel shows exactly what each request used.

| A request like… | Credits |
|---|---|
| A small change: “fade the title in over 12 frames” | 5–10 |
| A build: “gradient background, animated title and subtitle” | 20–40 |
| Following a tutorial link (depends on the video’s length) | 60–120 |
So the free trial is about 10 builds or a couple of tutorials, and Pro (2,000 credits) is about 60 builds a month.
Credits, cancelling and refunds
- What exactly is a credit?
- A credit is about one cent of AI usage. Every request Cue handles uses some: it reads your comp, thinks, makes changes and checks frames, and each of those steps costs a little. A small change is about 5–10 credits, a build about 20–40, and following a tutorial link about 60–120. The panel shows what each request used, and your balance is in the panel and on your account page.
- Why credits instead of unlimited?
- Because the cost of a request varies a lot. Charging for what each request really uses keeps small jobs cheap and means nobody pays for someone else’s 3-hour session.
- What happens when I run out?
- The panel tells you before it starts a request it can’t afford, and nothing half-finished is left in your comp. Add a top-up or upgrade and carry on where you left off.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- Monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing period. Top-up credits stay on your account (see the refund policy for how long), and are used after your monthly allowance.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Open your account page, choose Manage billing, and cancel. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- Can I get a refund?
- If something went wrong, email us. Our refund policy explains when we refund unused top-ups and first subscription payments. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so refunds go back to your original payment method.
- Who handles payment and tax?
- Polar, our merchant of record. They process cards, add the right sales tax or VAT for your country, and send your invoices.
